Good mid-range Prusa i3 kit.
This is an excellent kit for people wanting to get into 3d printing, but look askance at all the acrylic kits out there.
The chassis is cut from 6mm aluminum plate, and outside of a couple of threaded holes that needed a tap to clean up, everything went together pretty quickly.
It is a kit, so expect to spend some time dialing in your settings (I'm using Repetier-Host software to control it - a lot easier than the LCD) but the electronics and firmware have been trouble free.
It can easily hit the temperatures needed to print nylon and polycarbonate.

Better value than bare 1-2-3 blocks
The wood case makes it a lot easier to store them - they can live in a drawer with other tools without worrying about damaging them or damaging something they hit.
Surface hardness is good - I have used them for a couple of shop press setups and they worked fine.
