History on Route 66

The Grapes of Wrath is the story of a typical dust-bowl era farm family from Oklahoma. They were displaced by the dust-bowl and corporate greed. They traveled historical route 66 to California in search of better jobs and prosperity. What they found was more corporate greed and meager wages. After many tragic losses, they remained optimistic and roamed California following low paying jobs.

Delicious home-made ice-cream treats.

This mix makes soft-serve ice cream at home very similar to that served in the best restaurants. One must have an ice cream maker with a freezer element, scales and measuring devices. I use six ounces of mix to two cups of low-fat milk mixed with of water. This makes about eight half-cup servings that store well in the freezer for future use. One can experiment with different ratios to find what works best for them. Vanilla soft-serve mixes well with various topping.
