Earth Abides grabs your attention from the very beginning and I did not
Earth Abides is one of the best written sci-fi novels I have ever read. It is very thought-provoking concerning the meaning of man’s existence on this planet and how the sudden removal of civilization, with only a few widely-scattered survivors, cause a reassessment of the value of the high-tech, advanced knowledge that man had accumulated over tens of thousands of years. This book would make a great movie.
