GM OEM Front Door-Lock Cylinder 19178589

Exact match replacement

Very pleased to find this part was exact replacement for 2008 Saturn Vue XE. All the Parts I needed came with the kit to match the existing key code. My advice when replacing this cylinder on 08 Saturn vue Xe: Unscrew 3 screws inside door panel. Pry out 5 push in pins at bottom of door and lift panel. Remove black screw cover at end of door near handle to expose hex nut. Unscrew hex nut that holds lock cylinder. Disengage small white swing latch from control arm to remove cylinder. The next tricky step is to remove the outside trim cover from the cylinder assembly. Look for a very small hex screw holding the cover on. U will need to very carefully remove the filler material that covers the outside of hex nut. I used very sharp pointed utility blade and a pair of magnified glasses to clear the filler. Then I was able use very small hex key set to back out the nut enough to slide off the cover.

Small Finesse Big Power

Used this 1st time to spin off lug nuts and change shocks on Dodge Ram. The control ability was excellent. Power was sufficient n fast. Not sure I like detent pin when swapping out sockets. Worked fine holding sockets w/out detent engaged. Needs extra tool to disengage locked socket from engaged detent pin. I guess if ur careful not to align socket hole with the detent pin.. u can have best of both worlds.

Very nice packaging arrived on time. Fit and finish perfect. Exact replacement for all 4 hubs. Quality appears same as oem. Driving for 1 week 100 miles, very smooth, No issues.
