Excellent lamp for the price, fine for winter running.

This little lamp is plenty bright enough for running on half-reasonable paths in the pitch dark. Not sure its really enough for the rooty tracks through the woods, I'll double up and use my old headtorch as well for those, but its not really fair to expect a lamp at this price to light up half the county ! I've not had it long yet, but it looks like I'm going to get the suggested 5 hour plus battery life which is far more than I'll ever need between charges. For anyone just dogwalking or out for a stroll the less-bright setting should be more than sufficient, and less-likely to dazzle other people which can be all too easy to do if you're not careful.

An essential tool

A very simple-to-use little gauge for checking your chain for wear. It 's pretty much the same as available from other sources, and seems as accurate. Invaluable since chain wear is very difficult to check without a gauge and riding with a worn chain will soon end up wearing out your expensive sprockets.
