Smittybilt Overlander XL Roof Top Tent - 2883

Quality roof top tent with room for the family.

I decided to purchase this tent after reading several reviews and I’m happy I did. The quality and function are great and it’s easier to lift on to the vehicle than I anticipated. I have it mounted to the stock crossbars on an FJ cruiser, using all four cross bars (2 front 2 rear with small spacers to account for the angle of the oem rack). It sleeps our family of 4 with room to spare. It was missing two small poles that hold up the material on an outside window. I called Smittybilt and told them what was missing and it was quickly shipped without a problem. I was very impressed with the customer service of Smittybilt.

Good quality for a great price

Shipping was faster than expected. The rubber was a better quality then what the oem guards were at a fraction of the price. A few holes appeared to be a about a quarter inch different from oem but the still fit well. Easy install.

Works great!

The windshield washer pump worked great in my 2007 FJ Cruiser. The actual pump appeared identical to the OE that it replaced. The bushing that came with it did not seem identical so I simply cleaned and reused the old bushing. I’m not saying the one that came with it would not work properly but I know the old bushing did not leak, so I did not want to risk this one. Pump installed easy and works like it should. It was significantly cheeper than the ones at local auto parts stores.
