OK for the money
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I have had this radio for a week. It does have AM, but it is RX only. Really makes 10 and 6 meters useless for the most part. If you are looking at this radio, do not get it with the quad band antenna. Get a comet 2/440 antenna.
instead get the radio that comes with the programing cable. The radio has a micro USB port on the back, BUT it is not a USB port. It is just a serial port wired to the micro USB port.
If you don't get the programming cable that comes with this radio, you will be stuck trying to wire a FTDI chip to a USB pin-out.
Also keep in mind, this radio has no MIC port on the body. It is just on the head. I wanted a MIC port on the body so I could mount the face above the rear view mirror and have the MIC come from the body under the seat. Not with this model.
Other than that, I get good reports on 2 and 440. If you are looking for a cheap duel band, you could do worse.
