Good item for the homeowner

I bought this fitting to use at 90 degrees with an extension for painting a ceiling and it should work well for that purpose . I doubt you can keep it lose enough to swivel as you paint and avoid leaks . I disassembled , cleaned up the threads , lubricated threads and washers and after tightening the lock nut everything was secure . I would recommend disassembly and lubrication of the washers before starting but for the price it looks pretty good. You are not going to get the same quality for ten bucks that you get in a 70 dollar swivel fitting so just keep that in mind . The reason I recommended disassembly is this fitting has internal threads and before you start trying to tighten the wrong nut first, it's a good idea to see how it is assembled .
