Unique premium wharncliffe Spyderco!
Outstanding wharncliffe blade. This knife is unlike any other in my 30 years of accumulating Spyderco and Benchmade knives. As the description indicated, this blade is strategically lightened and thinned in places where it is helpful and kept thick and strong in others for the same reason. It came razor sharp and cuts like nobody's business and shaves wood or hair with equal ease! Slices through cardboard packaging etc. amazingly easily.
The handle and scales fit my hand like they are glued there. Although the compression lock isn't my favorite to manipulate with arthritic fingers, the blade falls open and closed with no effort. Once open it locks up rock solid and has no wiggle or give in any direction.
Although pricey the Canis is a premium product and reflects terrific design and execution using top quality materials. If you are a fan of wharncliffe blades, this is a must have!

A lesser known gem!
While an older film set prior to WWII, I remembered this as an excellent procedural mystery in the "Columbo" style. Kris Kristofferson has an atypical role as a hard bitten but clever detective and the setting is Hawaii. Based on some historical knowledge, I can say it does a decent job of depicting the shabby way "mainlanders" have raped the islands and the indigenous population of their birthright.
Worth viewing with several outstanding actors in prominent roles and a number of excellent character actors of yesteryear in supporting roles.

40 years of outstanding service and quality for me!
Forty years of using Leupold products of all sorts and I've never been disappointed. The customer service is just as exemplary as their scopes, mounts etc., if not better! Made in US and those Leupolds I've had for all those years still get the job done when I need them.
