ESD protection issue

Dear Sirs, at the first thank you very much for the laserbar. After a ridiculous processing through the customs I have got it finally and made the first tests with it. Everything seems to be ok, but: You made very much photos of the article but one serious mistake: This is an extremely ESD sensitive device, that means that a very very litte reverse (!) voltage in the range of a few volts at the power supply terminals (red and black cables in this case) or a reserve current of a few ten µAmps could cause irreversable damage to the article. This could easily happen while simply touching the cables without ESD protection equipment because there is no short-circuit made before cutting the cables. A little discharge of your body could easily destroy the article in a few nanoseconds (and you will not notice it)! And you can guess what the custom officer does (no, he had no idea what that was and how to handle it :-( ). Please be so kind in the future and solder a cable between plus and minus or attach a conducting clamp on it BEFORE removing it from the installed equipment. It would be a pity to destroy it because of such a carelessness. Some of these enclosed bars have internal clamping diodes, a small ceramic capaitor and a resistor in the housing to prevent the device from being harmed by ESD but this one definitely not! The first simple test I made to see if it emits infrared light "seemed" to be ok, but I cannot be sure if the device would be a little bit predamaged und will die in the future, hopefully not! Please be so kind and do a favour to the future customers and follow this simple instruction and everything will be fine. Thanks a lot and Greetings
