Squealing with Excitement!
I love this doll! Everything about her is marvelous. Excellent details in her clothing and accessories.

Very nice detail
Even though this Katniss doll doesn’t look a whole lot like actress Jennifer Lawrence, she has a lovely, strong face, true to the spirit of The Hunger Games movie and book. I love the details of her Mockingjay pin and quiver with arrows. The jacket detail is exactly like the costumes in the movie. I have two of these; one for my daughter to play with, and now I have one to keep in the box to collect. We found when we played with her that the legs and arms have a good range of movement. Her hands are designed to help her hold the bow. I wish Mattel had made a Rue doll to go with her. That’s probably my only complaint. We bought a black Skipper doll and a female Jurassic Park doll, and put those clothes on Skipper. The Skipper doll has short curly hair, so once we styled it a bit, she looks just like Rue.

Twelve Oaks Barbecue Dress is a “Must Have”

My tiny quibble as an aficionado of all things GWTW is that the jewelry is incorrect. In the movie, Scarlett’s mother lends her a beautiful, salmon-colored earrings and necklace set for the barbecue, but you don’t see that on the doll. I also think the small green bows around the neckline of the dress should be smaller, and the lace on the neckline is a bit different. It doesn’t have the emerald-green ribbon threaded through the lace. Other than that, it is perfect. I have all of the other dolls in the series as well, and this one is a must-have. You’ll love it. I mean, it’s the iconic Twelve Oaks Barbecue dress. Rhett and every boy at the barbecue fall in love with her the moment they see her in that dress. Even Melanie remarks on it. How can you resist!?
