Science: Absolute Truth or Best Approximation?
I've only just started this course, but it's living up to what I'd heard about it and the presenter, Prof. Steven Goldman. I ordered this Great Course because of a favorable review in Physics Today magazine of Prof. Goldman's book on the subject. I was looking for the book when I found the Great Course. So far, I've only watched the first session of the course; in that lecture, Prof. Goldman does a clear job of laying out the important issue: is science absolute truth, or just the best current model? (I suspect I'll increase the rating to 5 stars after I've seen the whole course.)

Great Course on Archaeology Really Is Great
The Great Course in Archaeology is a worth spending time on for anyone interested in history and archaeology. I've attended in person lectures by the presenter, Professor Eric Cline, so I was not surprised at how interesting the course is. One of the advantages that Prof. Cline brings to the course is his own experiences at many of the sites discussed.
