A functionally reliable product with adequate features
It's designed to take some abuse but I do not want to test it to any extreme. My primary use is to program two way radios, sometimes in the field. It's more than enough memory and is fast enough. I highly recommend that anyone who purchases this item make a backup copy or two of the image consisting of the operating system and any software and drivers that the computer comes with. For whatever reason a system backup disk was not in the box as promised. Take you time when you first use it especially if you have never used a Toughbook before as this one did not come with any instructions or suggestions as some refurbished computers do. The battery lasts longer than expected on a full charge. It also features a serial port as well as several USB ports if that is important to you.
