This machine has many of the options of newer high end machines, but only lacks the cosmetic features like a color, hi res screen. The machine is simple to just turn on and see, but also has many more complex features if you want to dive into them, like custom stitch design.
The only troubles I have ran into with my machine is, the thread not always cutting, especially when the needle is in the left position, and some of the extra wide stitch designs cone out distorted. The sideways feed dogs used in these patterns don’t seem to be accurate enough for some of the stitches. There is of course operator error than could be a factor too.
