Nice all-rounder, nice Triple Core Phenom X3, Good for Movies and work.

Nice Laptop not an 'Uber' Model but I installed 8GB DDR3 as opposed to the installed 4GB (2x2GB) I used 2x4GB 1333 mhtz/10666s and a Samsung SSD drive and for what I wanted (A Linux Laptop with at least a little 'Vmoosh') it served that purpose excellently!. I have 5 Acer laptops (I'm an IT/Tech and have been for 36 yrs) and I appreciate the unique and difference in all of them and this unit is no exception to that rule. In it's generic state (4GB)(SATA) it's a nice unit the Radeon Video card serves it's purpose, play some movies and plays some low-end Games. But supped up, with Arch,Debian and Xubuntu it's smoother than a new born babies Bottom.

What I needed at the time..

Works for what I needed, a modded Dell Dimension 9200. O/C'd to 3.2Ghtz, 8GB (yes, 8 not the old manual information that says 4GB only..), two SSD's and a OC'd GTX 460. Works for what I needed.
