Well, I am now on my third batch of 12 cartridges. I change the cartridge every 2.5-3 weeks (as opposed to every month) but only because I use the water jug more than most people and I like to keep the water really fresh/clear-tasting. These cartridges are every bit as good as the main brand, in my opinion, but cost a fraction of the price. Win-win!
