Decent buy for the money
These are a good value for the money. There are higher quality cases out there, but they are a LOT more money. Depends on your use. Mine is primarily personal, and these have been great.

Device Recognition and LightScribe Write Problems
I could not get my desktop to recognize this unit until, after reading and trying almost everything, I used a different data cable - turns out that the one provided did not work. I bought it solely for the LightScribe feature, and continue to have problems getting the label on the entire disk without stopping due to losing connection with the computer. You have to start over from the beginning, meaning part of the label is overwritten, and thus darker than the rest of the label. Although it's only for family and friends, it's frustrating and creates a poor product. This happened sometimes on my old HP desktop when I first used LightScribe some years ago, but nearly to the extent it happens on this drive. I'm hoping it will somehow improve as I use it, as I am afraid it will be throwing good money after bad at this point if I look for other units. Bottom line - it works, creating the images, but as indicated above, not very well.
