Perfect fit as you would expect from armitage shanks original product
Wasn't too sure which type of armitage shanks toilet pan i had but shape looked about right so decided to take a punt with this original armitage shanks seat. so glad I did as it fitted perfectly- maybe I was just lucky but glad to have paid a little extra for this product.

Element replacement
I was on the point of taking our non heating, 3 year old hotpoint tumble dryer to the skip but it was in such good condition otherwise that I decided to take the back covers off just out of interest to see if there was anything obviously wrong with it. The existing element looked okay so it was back to the skip idea when I found this replacement element unit while browsing on ebay. It was so cheap I thought if it didn't work then it wasn't going to be a huge loss so I ordered it.
Although the connection wasn't an exact fit for my original unit, it still fitted and was really simple to swop over. One thing I found was that the mica heat protection strips are very delicate so it needs gentle handling when fitting.
Anyhow, after fitting it, it heated up straight away and has been in almost daily use now for more than a month now with no problems. So glad I didn't bin the machine!
