Worth reading
I enjoyed the first two stories of three the best. The stories did not follow the usual direction which was a good thing. Writing quality seemed okay but like many " Translated Works " I could not help but wonder at some parts if they captured the intended spirit. ****SPOILER ALERT**** The third story is why I only gave it 4 stars however. While not horrible it did not really " Metaphorically describe the difference in East/West viewpoints " It proceeds to offer events from the viewpoints of the 2 brothers and this is when it is revealed that what we have read and come to believe is " Probably " not what really happened. Paraphrasing the cover a lot - ( Difference between the storyteller events/ the story written and reality ). Not a direct quote from the cover but you should get my point, Afterall there is a subjective difference between reality and my reviews memory.....Hee Hee Hee. Again, it did not do a horrible job of driving the point home but rather simplistically. Once I realized this early in story #3 my enjoyment level was diminished. Still I think it is an interesting tale. Perhaps if want the most out of it just read the first two stories.
