A much needed common sense book about life.
The book is a much needed revisiting of Erik Erikson's life cycle theory that originally finds its origin in Freud's theory of development. By taking the stages of development out of the infant and toddler years, and applying the developmental challenges to the later decades of our life, Donald Capps essentially allows us to stop blaming our parents for our stunted development and to take greater control of our lives. In addressing the topic of the elusive sense of personal identity that we all seek, the author identifies factors that can slow its development. It is a much needed common sense book about life.

The Imaginative History of Lake Wobegone

You are greeted by an overachieving historian who doesn't get out much. The stories are hilarious from the first missionaries to the territory in the early 1800's to the later arrival of the first Norwegians. It unravels the family histories that contribute to the rich tapestry of Lake Wobegone.
