NEW Traxxas Battery Holder 4-Cell On/Off Switch 3170X

Good Quality

This was bought for a 2001 T-Maxx, my original switch was getting a glitch during turning it on, that's why I bought the replacement. The Replacement switch has a taller switch lever/actuator. The original slide lever on the switch is .195" and this replacement is .350" which makes it .155" taller. It will protrude the batter case significantly more, making it easier to actuate the switch for those who found the original ones a bit too low, or hard to turn on/off. All of the connections seem to be good, and the wires seem to be of good quality, and long enough for the Traxxas T-Maxx, and many more RC cars, trucks, planes, ect... Enjoy it, and have a good time. Durable

My T-Maxx nitro is 15 years old, ran almost every summer. the original gear box is still in there, about 8 years ago I replaced a gear inside. I got this extra gear box as a spare just in case I need to fix again one day. I was considering an aluminum one, but for how well this has held up with the 1.5, and the 2.5 engine over the past 12 years, I think it will be durable enough for me, and maybe a future 3.3 engine.

Protection

Have ran my T-Maxx nitro for 15 years now, and finally put this on to protect the brake and transmission case. I have a titanium skid plate on the front, and aluminum on the rear for now. The titanium has held up to scratches and gouges 10:1 vs the aluminum. So yeah, I recommend the titanium for skid plates, and armor under a RC truck such as this level or degree of quality it demands, and is demanded of by the user. Not only will the part protect the truck, the part will withstand the abuse far better than the aluminum or most definite plastic competitors in my opinion.
