Nifty little fan

I’m using this fan to boost hot air flow around a heatform fireplace hot air jacket. It has substantially increased the air flow out of the top air vents. Note however that I had to mount the fan inside the air jacket in order to get any air flow from the vents because the fan is relatively small in comparison with the volume in the air jacket and the top vents are a metre or so from the air intakes. The fan makes a fairly loud whirring noise but is still good value and this mini project was worth doing.

Cheap, cheerful and inaccurate

Detailed reviews of this product on the web reveal that the item is NOT accurate due to errors in the internal timebase as well as other design faults. It DOES provide a rough, relative indication of battery capacity, but the displayed mAh figures cannot be relied upon.
