Love this CD!!!
Philadelphia Singer/Songwriter Jim Boggia has a way of creating great songs with melodies that tend to stick in your head. Influenced by the Beatles and the Kinks, to name a few, Jim blends his retro infuences with his own musical vision which often results in the listener singing along. Don't let his catchy pop/rock style fool you into the assumption that the lyrics are after thoughts... listen carefully and you'll find well phrased topics such as addiction ("Where's The Party"), denial ("Let Me Believe- Evan's Lament"), joy ("Make Me So Happy") and a heart broken farewell("Supergirl"). Jim can turn a phrase.
I bought my copy of "Safe in Sound" from Jim at one of his concerts. I've been to many of his shows over the past few years and continue to go whenever I can. If you ever have the opportunity to hear him play live, you'll be in for an evening of great tunes and lots of fun! Take a chance on this CD!
