A Very Good Piano Book.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich >>Ahem!<< I've not got round to working from this book yet but it's full of excellent pieces to play which a piano teacher from London demonstrates on YouTube and they all sound fab. I got this volume because I've been playing for several years now and it seems like it's at my current level of playing and reading ability. Don't believe me? Check it for yourself, it's very good!

Guitar World's Jimmy Brown Tuition
As I only own this volume and not Vol. 1, I'm a bit in the dark with this otherwise thorough and in-depth look at playing arpeggios on the electric six string guitar as there are no examples of HOW to solo with arpeggios that I could find. The Bobby Harrison Rock Arpeggios course on Udemy might be a better place to start with this particular subject but this DVD, the tutor and the presentation is first class but you do need Vol. 1, IMHO.

At Last!
Walt Simonson kindly brought this to my attention in July 2017 via Twitter and having only dreamt about collecting every single one of the DC comics these U.S.S Stevens four or five pagers appeared in, you may now purchase them in one hefty volume. Roughly the equivalent size of a Marvel Omnibus, this is a sizeable item - it reprints almost 60 stories including supplementary material from sole writer and author Sam Glanzman.
Telling bite sized chunks of his service in the US Navy on the eponymous U.S.S Stevens in WW2, it's amazing just how deep these stories are. The only original issue I have features the amazing King Of The Mountain! which tells the unfortunate tale of an encounter between a rock ape and a none too bright swabbie.
Surveying prices on eBay of the rest of myriad comics Mr Glanzman's stories appeared in disabused me of the notion of ever building up a complete set of these masterpieces but no more. They are all here!
As far as I can tell, the art is shot from the printed comic book pages but that doesn't put me off at all. You take what you've given and in this case, it's perfect. Highly recommended.
