Moosehead bottle opener
This is a heavy, sturdy and really cool bottle opener. It has heft. Great to adorn the walls of your woodland cabin. I put a neodymium magnet (that I also bought on eBay) about six inches beneath to catch the bottle caps. Everybody loves it. I have these bottle openers in strategic positions all over the cabin. (It is a holiday getaway cabin after all) The moose-head opener is in the most conspicuous place, at the bar. Hopefully we will enjoy this for a long time to come!

the new complete joy of homebrewing
This book is the homebrewers bible. I had read it many times before I loaned it to a deadbeat relative and never saw it again. I re-purchased it when I took up brewing again. You must have this book if you plan to homebrew. Charles Papazian is a genius, and a down to earth guy. I had co-responded with him in the early ninties, and found him to be a witty, delightful man.

Foot Valve
This item worked very well at my remote cabin. The only way for us to have running water in the kitchen sink is to fire up the generator and then shut it back off when we're done. We bought a hand pump, and took an old 55 gallon drum that we fill with water from running the generator, ran a line down from the pump to the barrel. This foot valve keeps the pump from losing it's prime. So we now have running water in the kitchen, and only have to run the generator once a week or so for water.
