The Wii and DS user's best friend.
The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector is an accessory for use with the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS game systems. This USB dongle creates an exclusive communication line between your DS or Wii and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Up to five Wii consoles or DS systems can connect to one device. There are a few small problems with it, however. Since the device is just a dongle, it cannot power itself, meaning your computer must be on in order for your Wii or DS to access it. Another thing is that this device creates an exclusive connection point for Wii consoles and DS systems, meaning no other devices can connect to it. But that itself can be a good thing, because if another DS or Wii user tries to leech off you, you can tell your Connector to accept or ignore any other devices, except yours. So, in short, good if you only go online with a DS or Wii, not so good if you have an X-Box 360 or PlayStation 3.

A beautiful, under-rated NES title.
Journey to Silius was released in the U.S. by Sunsoft in 1990; it received a release in Europe under the title "Raf World". It plays similarly to games such as Capcom's Mega Man. It tells the story of Jay, who sets off to avenge his father's death. The game is very detailed, by NES standards, with colors and graphics fitting its setting: a dangerous, post-apocalyptic world overrun by rogue robots, a la the Terminator movies (which this game was originally supposed to be, an adaptation of the first Terminator movie; the deal fell through at the last moment, and Sunsoft didn't want to waste a perfectly good game, so they replaced the protagonist with Jay, changed the name, and sent it out). The player's animations are fluid, there's very little sprite flicker, and the difficulty is well-balanced throughout. If you, the reader, own an NES, keep an eye out for this underappreciated gem. 5/5

A solid, enjoyable, underrated tank fighter.
Steel Reign is a third person shooter and was relased on the Sony PlayStation by SCEA in 1997. It chronicles the story of General Reign and his endeavor to destroy his rival, General Storm, and his army. To aid him in his vendetta, General Reign has a small fleet of prototype battle tanks at his disposal, each of which are outfitted with cannons, rocket launchers, lasers, mines, and shield generators. The game looks impressive by the PlayStation's standards, with well-detailed terrain, tanks, and enemy installations. The controls are as fluid as could be, though players who have become adjusted to using analog control sticks may have some trouble re-acclimating to using a digital control pad. If you own a PlayStation, and enjoy shooters, do not hesitate to pick this up. 5/5
