High Fidelity Sound In Your Computer Travel Bag
I tried a number of earbuds for listening to music on my laptop, and all had peaky response in some part of the spectrum. I was contemplating taking old-fashioned over-ear hifi headphones for quality listening as I travelled, but size and weight also created a problem. While shopping for even more earbuds to try out, I ran into the Sennheiser Urbanite on-ear headphones. The fidelity is exactly what I was looking for, and they fold much smaller and lighter for travel.
Engineering a product always involves finding the best set of compromises for the particular application. Some people may find having to plug the cord into the left earphone in order to use the Urbanite annoying. I find after decades of having to wrap the cord around a conventional headset for travel, unplugging the cord from the headset and coiling it around your hand to tuck it away for travel is a big step forward.
On-ear headphones like Urbanite press on the ears, so are not as comfortable for long periods of listening as over-ear headphones---they clear your ears to press on your head. But, that also makes over-ear headphones too big for travel. My choices were reasonably comfortable on-ear Urbanite, of go back to tin-sounding earbuds. Urbanite was the right compromise again. Now when I travel, it is "earbuds nevermore".

$20 Solution For A $1000 Problem
I needed to make reliable battery cables using 4AWG rubber covered welding cable. Buying a calibrated crimper guaranteed to generate gas-tight crimps of finely stranded 4AWG wire was out of the question. I find this terminal solders just beautifully using a 60W soldering iron from Sears. And, there is no doubt about reliability and durability.
