This anndason hatch is well made opens all the way very impressed ordered from amazon arrived early and came with two hatches worth 30.00 dollers. I do think it will outlast the kayak with no issues. Only time will test durability. First impression is great does not feel like cheep plastic.installing bag in it tricky but not bad. Bag not sure if 100% waterproof so dont throw electronic key ect that needs to stay dry.in it ziplock bags then store it if you have to.
