Delightful musical

Early Streisand (her second film). She’s in great voice, plays the ditzy Daisy Gamble as well as elegant Melinda Tentrees. It’s a light fluffy piece but fun.

A product of its time

I used to work at a movie theater Shen this film was released. The songs are catchy but the “staging” is awkward. There is no easy entry into many of the songs. The characters look like they’re waiting for their cue to sing and move.
