Industrial Energizer batteries are a step above.
After leaking Alkaline Kodak and Kirkwood batteries, I decide to stick with Energizer and Duracell as they just made better. These Industrial style seem to be a step above the regular Energizers in the stores.

Good precut brass rod
Fast easy order and shipping. Lucked out was exactly the size needed for the finished job. Beats buying twenty foot length and cutting it.

Leica Disto D5 Laser is top notch
I have used one these lasers for 10 years hard in officiating outdoor track meets. It is accurate, durable and keeps on working.
There are other cheaper brands of lasers but this one is easy to use, adjust offsets, and record measurements.
