Still an invaluable resource
Slightly dated but still an invaluable resource for those preparing for offshore adventure.

An ideal programmable for astro navigation without the need for tables.
Astro navigation by programmable calculator requires ease of programming as a top priority. The non-programmable Sharp does the job well with it's deg.min.sec key and a dozen or so independent memories but this programmable version takes away all the repetitive-entry tedium and ensures accurate answers every time. "Graphing" calculators can be very hard (I found them impossible) to re-program but this basic-like, non-graphing programmable is ideal.
My only gripe: when developing the program, it's nice to be able to re-number program lines rather than have to delete and re-type each line in order to move it around.
