Pretty cool PDR
I looked up a bunch of videos for this specific machine as well as the expensive T-Hot Box unit. This appears to work similar to the more expensive unit but may be a little less precise and slightly lower powered.
The method of using this device is completely key to how well the repair goes. Follow the instructions and practice many times prior to using on a customers car. The machine pretty much just heats up the metal in a very pinpoint location causing the area to expand. It’s 100% technique driven and if you don’t know what you are doing, you will either burn the paint or cause more dents.
I was able to remove a tiny 1/4” dent from a fender to almost 95% without the use of any other tap downs... on my first try and no prior experience with a device like this. I am a little bit more technically versed than the average person though... I have a very small amount of traditional PDR experience.... some auto body background... and, I did do some research prior to trying this device though.
I’ll be using this unit to try and fix minor wobbles and shallow dents on some of our customer vehicles... should we need it. I think the small investment is well worth it.

Good quality foam
This appears to be a good quality foam and does not have any bad odor that you can sometimes get from cheap manufactured products. Nice dense material, appears to be a neoprene rubber.

Looks identical to OEM Roland Part, probably is.
I compared these dampers side by side with a brand new OEM Roland Damper and they look absolutely identical. All the little details appear to be spot on. Only item I noticed was different was the color of a single round tiny O-ring (barely visible) located in the center of the damper. OEM was black, the ones I received were all grey. With very close inspection, the thickness and color of the plastic, the plastic membrane and how it is sealed, the little filter screens... even the fact that these also had cleaning liquid still visible on the screens just like the factory ones.
I would bet that these are from the same factory. If you want to get nitpicky about the details, they were not packaged in the same hard case that you receive the OEM Roland Dampers in. These arrived in little zip lock type baggies... I am sure Roland just buys these, inspects them and seals them up in their own hard cases for storage.
Think about it this way, other printers need dampers too and they use the same Epson print heads Roland purchased for their printers. So the machines need their own parts and I’m sure that these printers are not going to shit from some non-Roland dampers. Roland doesn’t manufacture most of the parts they build their machines with... so there is a factory that manufactures the dampers Roland buys... and certainly they do not exclusively sell dampers to Roland. I’ve seen a lot of poorly designed “copies”, which are easily visible as knockoffs from just the posted photos... these look identical when viewed in person up-close.
