The Daughter of Time by Josephine Tey

Intriguing and compelling read

The true historical mystery of the two princes in the tower, investigated by a modern (well Fifties), fictional detective. Research is meticulous though the personalities of real and fictional people come through. A really good read, which could answer some questions but makes the reader think more laterally about the situation these two young princes found themselves facing.

Evocative, serene & well worth a listen if you love South America

Playing now, very evocative. I have sought this CD for a very long time and it does not disappoint. It is hard to find but well worth the effort if you want to evoke the real South America - the flora, fauna and the drama of the landscape. Short pieces of music by Nicholas Hooper, written to accompany the Andes to Amazon series on BBC2 which is worth watching and is more readily available b e-bay. Hope this encourages others to watch the series; the photography is superb and this CD brings it all back to mind - in glorious technicolour.
