Good replacement
Bought this to replace one on my older GE refrigerator that was constantly dripping at the water spout. At first I was wishing that I would have stuck with the original GE replacement since the mounting bracket is a little different on this one. However, since you have to cut off the original plastic compression nuts to accommodate the new quick connect style of valves, the water lines end up a little shorter and you have to re-locate the valve lower anyway (even the new GE valves are this way). So this one worked out as good as new. Plus, the water comes out twice as fast as before replacing. I believe these valves have a small filter at the water inlet that can get plugged up with lime or rust scale over time.
