Swap mania
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Overall this is a good group of games. I love retro games and I've owned several of the Namco retro releases. I've been waiting for a release that had Super PacMan, so I was really excited to see this for the Wii. The fact that it used the classic controller was perfect - no need to wave the Wiimote. Right? Not exactly. First you MUST use the nunchuck to navigate the lobby. This means plugging in that accessory. Once a game is selected, then you must unplug the nunchuck to plug in the classic! Ugh! It's a constant game of controller swap and it's not much fun. I suggest getting this game IF you love the retro titles AND you have lots of patience. Overall an average experience.

Replacement ++
Still a must have for the Surface. This is a replacement for the original I purchased, and I expect that it will wear out in about the same amount of time, but I don't know if I could really go without one. The fingerprint reader is an upgrade worth getting.

Great concept, poorly delivered
The book would have been better if it had been better edited. The writers redundant use of "she" to reference the game player, shows his simplistic attempts to be PC (pun not intended). References to included code, which does not exist, keeps the actual use of the book to a minimum. Also, the book notes "downloads available on the website", but does not give the address. The authors site, which *is* noted, is no longer up. A search of the publishers site has some of the downloads, but not the user uploads that are promised.
All in all, the book is good for two things: a trip down memory lane, if you used one of the original computers in the '80s, and it is a good motivator to find more information and make good on it's unfulfilled promises.
