It's OK - but heavily let down by the awful batteries that are supplied.
I've only used this for cycling at night where there's no street lighting so this review is entirely based on that kind of usage.
It's quite bright, but don't expect it to be 5x brighter when set to full stun than it is with just one lamp on (it doesn't seem to get any brighter after 3 lights). There's a little LED on the battery case which you can set to either blink or be solid which actually works surprisingly well as a back light.
One small niggle is that there's no cushioning behind the lamp so after an hour or so it starts digging into your forehead unless you wear it over the top of a wooly hat or something.
For me, what really lets this torch down is the nasty cheap batteries that'll struggle to last 30 minutes when all 5 lamps are on. If you want/need something to last an hour or more per charge you'll need to budget an extra £10 and buy yourself some half-decent replacement ones. But.... you get what you pay for and for the money I think it's an alright purchase. Put it this way - I've replaced the batteries and I'm quite happy with it now so if the lamp lasts 6 months before packing in, I'll probably buy the same one again.

Ok, I guess
It's a genuine part, but genuine doesn't mean good design or quality. I've got a 2011 500 and this is the 3rd time I've had to replace a broken one. Top tip - check the pin is secure BEFORE fitting or you'll be redoing the job when it drops out.
