The winch works great and I'm glad that it was available at a reasonable cost.
I didn't purchase the winch to be mounted on a vehicle, I wanted to mount it at the back of my garage to be able to pull my 31 year old Dodge Grand Caravan into the garage, because my backup gear wasn't working, and with 250,000 miles on it, the Kelly Blue Book said it's value was $125, and the local auto service said it would cost four times that amount to replace the entire shift system and he said it wasn't worth doing, so I converted the winch from 12VDC input to 120VAC, and it works great, but a bit on the slow side pulling my Caravan in on a level driveway and garage floor.
