A Real Treat
OK, so this is not exactly an instructional video. Jack does demonstrate his enviable technique on the bass, but doesn't really break it down and describe in detail what he is doing. That being said, it doesn't matter. There's plenty of stuff to pick up from watching him and the bonus is the live studio perfomances by Jack along with Gary Husband on drums and the late, great Gary Moore on guitar. Together, these guys rock! They play classic Cream songs, but also leave room for some nice improvisation. It's like getting invited to a private performance by a supergroup that only a select few will ever see. My only complaint is that it ends too soon.

Great show!

Better than expected
There are a lot of old bands that tour with few or none of the original members and they usually disappoint. On first listen to this, I thought the vocals weren't up to par, but they grew on me. You've got to hand it to Jock Bartley for putting together this version of the band that does a fine job with the music with fewer members! And they all play very well. Steven W., who sings most of the lead vocals is also an excellent guitarist and he and Jock combine to give this version of Firefall a more potent guitar presence. I disagree with one reviewer's opinion on the drumming. To my ears, Sandy Ficca is great, as are the other guys. And one of the best things about Firefall was always Jock's fine guitar playing. No disappointment here!
