Unusual study of the binding and typography of original Wilde texts
This is a very unusual and complicated book probably suited mostly for the advanced student of English literature or a bookbinder or someone who is an Oscar Wilde collector. It is a study of some of the original editions of some of Wilde's more elaborate books and their bindings and typography and how it relates to the text. Dorian Gray is included and The Sphinx and also the 1892 limited edition of Poems. Its wouldn't be everyone's dish of tea but I read it and will keep it. I bought it for 15.50 which was fine the original list price was 80.00 so I got a bargain. That would be rather overpriced I think. A nice addition to my large Oscar Wilde collection. --Peggy Dailey
