Wanna buy a great lens? ..Buy a Sigma
Sigma has been making slr lenses since the 1960's, for about every brand camera on the market. And they are doing a very good job of it.
I have 2-35mm cameras with this lens on them, and I have been able to get extremely good results from both of them. My Minolta Maxxum came with this lens, and I purchased one for my Sigma SA-7. Even though they are different brand cameras, the lenses give great results, indoors or out.
My purchase of this Sigma lens was for my daughter who has just gotten a Canon digital. She wanted a lens capable of Macro photography. The Sigma 70-300mm DG lens does very well here: it will macro between 200-300mm, at the flip of a switch on the lens.
Along with great results on the picture side of it, the lens doesn't cost the proverbial "arm and a leg". It's very affordable, very well made, comes with a good warranty, and is light enough to hand hold.
Overall, I can't think of any thing that speaks against owning this lens. I guess, by some, it would be considered an "entry level" lens. But unless you are making your living at photography, and can afford to spend 1000's of dollars for your lenses(which most people can't), in my opinion, a person will have a hard time finding a better lens for the money.

The Wii and me, or you, as the case may be
I'm not a "game system" person. My boys have Xbox systems, but I just don't get into them. My daughter and her husband brought their Wii to our house one weekend, and I ended up using it, and enjoyed it. Then my wife bought one, with the fitness board, from EBAY. At first, I wasn't too thrilled with the idea, but since we've gotten it, I've changed my mind.
The games are FUN! The games allow a person to "get into" the sense of actually playing the game. you're swinging your arms, and moving your body, and actually doing something besides making your thumbs more dexterous. And that, as I gather it, was the purpose for the Wii in first place..
Besides the games, there is the practical side of the system. We bought a "balance board" to be used with the Wii Fitness program. Wii Fitness has several different fitness programs in it: Strength training, aerobics, yoga, etc, all of which use the fitness board...it's no nonsense, and practical, and if a person were to get serious with it, it could be very effective in helping fitness become a reality for that person. And, again, it's FUN!!
Wii is also able to connect to the internet. We are able to check the weather, read the news, and games can be played on line, and you can even send text messages, and pictures to other people with Wii, when you put their "addresses" in your contact list.
Overall, I believe it was a good purchase. Wii has a variety of uses, it's interactive, in that the user is a vital part of the "action" on the screen, and it's fun!! What more can you ask?? The only thing it's lacking, and there may be some games out there for this, if you really miss it, is that it doesn't have the "blood and guts" aspect of the the other game systems. But that, to me, isn't a negative. It's a very definite positive!!! Try one, you'll like it!!!!
