Amazing quality and build
I was using a Manfrotto 303SPH. This is smaller and lighter, sturdier, and allows quick repeatable setup. It is much easier to use and has provided flawless results.

055XPROB is a great set of legs
This is a good compromise between lightweight and heavy duty. As far as tripod go, you want the biggest, heaviest one your spouse is willing to carry for you! This model is my go-to for location work when I don't want to lug around my Manfrotto 058B Triaut tripod.
