Music has been a big part of my life. It started with Elvis, Jimmy Reed and Buddy Holly on my big brother's record player. When the Beatles arrived, I was 13 and nothing was ever the same. Music has lifted me up many times and sustains me now.

Numero's Eccentric Soul series is exceptional
Chicago based Numero Group has unearthed some of the best of obscure funk, soul and gospel from tiny forgotten labels. Their whole Eccentric Soul series is a must have. Nice packaging, extensive research--you could not ask for more.

Love & Mercy well worth your time
Brian Wilson's genius comes through. He was surrounded by people who could barely grasp what he heard in his head. The other Beach Boys could not come through with what the Wrecking Crew could do. Clearly a labor of love for John Cusack.
