Runs great now
The carburetor kit did the trick. Prior to installation, the engine had to be choked to run - even when warmed up - and would not run at a steady speed and often stalled. After installation of the kit the engine runs perfectly.

It works well.
It works great. I put it in the work room on the lower floor and routed a drain hose to the sump pump. It dropped the humidity in the entire house from 65% to 45% in 3 days. Because the house is lower humidity, we are comfortable with a higher temperature setpoint on the house thermostat, thus saving some A/C energy.
