Been there from 1st E... Still worth playing.
The system has been refined as the world's story line advanced. Half of the fun is participating in this very story rich world. There is so much for both established and new players. System is simple but flexible, great for both experienced gamers and those less worldly.

Old school Star Wars Table Top RPG
Imo the best version of the Star Wars RPG. Skill based system models the franchise better than level based systems. Easy to learn system and simple archetype character generation.
