Very impressed.
I have been using much more expensive bait casting reels for close to fifty years. A friend gave me an Abu Garcia BlackMax reel. I decided to try it and was very impressed with how well it cast 3/16 ounce drop shot rig. Also it is very difficult to backlash and seldom even overspin. The drag is not great but good enough. I would definitely recommend this reel for beginners or if you don't want to invest a lot of money in a reel. Definitely good value for the price.

Disappointed
The expiration date is only 6 weeks out. The ones you buy in the store are 8 months out.
The price is good if it was not so close to expiring. Some of the pieces have started to get that light color on the surface of the chocolate from getting old. It tasted fine. I just put it in the freezer and get it out when I want a piece. It would not have bothered me if they would have disclosed that it was getting near the expiration date.
