Very compelling read
Written so that you are fascinated but also have empathy for nursing home patients and a new appreciation of the intelligence and compassion of cats.

Well written but very very sad
while the writing is exquisite and Denis’s love for his cats palpable; this sequel to paw tracks in the moonlight broke my heart. I almost could not finish the Carlos chapter. While Toby Jug’s pasing at 12 to brain cancer in the first book tore my heart out, this story will shred your heart over and over for Carlos, Pablo, Max , the crows and the stories of Spain. Billed as a must for cat lovers it is relevant but too sad.

This book is a wonderful true story of how a cat was more than a pet. Billy is a healer and comfort to an autistic boy and his family. This story will warm hearts, not just animal lovers
