1 von 2 finden das hilfreich First of all, we only recently got a stand mixer, so we had to get some gadgets, right? This was the first one we purchased because, well, my husband's a chef and we're chubby and we love ice cream. I'm not even joking when I'm saying he's using this every day and loves it. (I, on the other hand, feel like I'm the only one who is thinking things like "you shouldn't be that surprised when buying one of these, the possibility exists you'll have to buy bigger pants in the near future") It's permanently stored in our freezer, which, fyi... Prepare to lose freezer space. When in use, you lock it in place, (we have the 5 qt tilt mixer) and then just let the mixer run on medium speed until your ingredients turn into ice cream consistency. Also, btw, we did NOT need the extra adapter thing I've seen it there (that was a bit confusing to a KitchenAid stand mixer newbie- I wasn't sure if we would need it or not- glad we didn't!) Then you spatula the fresh ice cream into another container to wait some more, wash this bowl and pop it back in the freezer so it's cold for the next go round. I will admit I was kind of bummed there were additional steps involved with this. The magic of a KitchenAid stand mixer and all that comes with it, like this ice cream maker, meant I thought you make the ice cream in this then can enjoy immediately after; when mentioning this to chef husband, I received a look like instead I had said human babies come from bananas or something along those lines. I understand you need the ice cream harder than when it's done in this bowl; but after waiting a bunch of hours for this bowl to completely freeze, 20 minutes to slowly churn it together, but then to put it back in the freezer for some more waiting... Now you've gone too far!
Kidding. I suppose just like every other reviewer out there I wanted to say- don't expect to make this and have it be edible in one night! Other then that, this thing is solid. Does exactly what it's supposed to. If you love ice cream, it's a worthwhile investment.
