Zalman Northbridge Cooler ZM-NB47J
30. Aug 2017
Silent but not very cool
This cooler was easy to fit to my Celeron processor and is of course completely silent. However it is not very large and I was measuring processor temperatures 20C higher than with the stock cooler. I also found that the noise in my PC was all from the HDD and mounting this on foam sorted the problem! I have since refitted the stock cooler...

1/35 Scale ~ Bocage House - Ceramic + Resin military model kit
21. Mär 2018
Lovely detailed mouldings, but in need of some finishing before assembly.
The kit consists of four parts, two ceramic walls and two resin roof parts. Both have lovely textures and a lot of detail. They take water based acrylic paints very well, and can be assembled with epoxy glue. I did however find that mine needed a lot of work before they were assembled. The ceramic walls were a long way off of straight at their mating edges, and so required a lot of careful sanding before they could be fitted together. The smaller roof part was oversized, and appeared to have been cut at entirely the wrong angle to fit to the larger roof and walls. This proved to be quite a challenge involving many experimental cardboard formers. Cutting the resin at a new angle also proved tricky, even with a fresh hacksaw blade, it preferred to split along the line of the tiles, rather than along the required cut angle. The finished result does however look very good, well worth persevering :)
