Best book I have ever read!

This book parallels the story of the Biblical prophet Hosea and his prostitute wife Gomer but finds its setting in California during the period of the gold rush. The captivating and heart wrenching story has a depth and insight into the harshness of life while at the same time showing the transformation and joyful freedom found in the overwhelming power of God's love. Hard to put down and has the necessity of a box of tissue very close by.
