Inspiring
In the top three or four of best books I've ever read. It puts the Christian faith in clear perspective as a wonderful way of life--one that focuses on the beauty of God which provides great incentive to follow Jesus because He is irresistible and adds a dimension of beauty and strength to our lives.

Thinking clearly yields understanding of God; prompts love for God and man.
This was a great discovery for me. I like to read John Piper, but this book goes near the top of my list now. Knowing what is involved in loving God is sometimes puzzling. It seems many are reluctant to spend much time thinking keenly about our faith, doctrines, theology. This book is light on theology (so is non-controversial) but is great biblical exposition and gets into some areas that surprised me (some of my personal blind spots).

A treasure of inspiration for the faithful Christian
Helpful and inspiring for anyone desiring to seriously know God. A wonderful bite-sized tour of what those in the reformed tradition have believed for hundreds of years
